class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Le <strong>discromie cutanee<\/strong>, comunemente definite <strong>\u201cmacchie della pelle\u201c<\/strong>, sono condizioni in cui aree pi\u00f9 o meno estese sono pi\u00f9 chiare o pi\u00f9 scure rispetto al resto della cute. Le cause possono essere diverse: infezioni, infiammazioni, ustioni solari, reazioni immunitarie.<\/p><p>Parliamo di ipercromie quando la pigmentazione aumenta di intensit\u00e0 e la pelle appare di colore irregolarmente scuro: ne sono un esempio le <strong>lentiggini<\/strong>, le <strong>efelidi<\/strong>, il <strong>melasma<\/strong>. Si parla, invece, di ipocromia quando la melanina \u00e8 ridotta o assente e la pelle \u00e8 pi\u00f9 chiara rispetto alla norma,come ad esempio nella vitiligine. Patologie infiammatorie locali possono determinare sia iperpigmentazioni che ipopigmentazioni.<\/p><p>Il melasma \u00e8 la discromia pi\u00f9 importante, relativamente frequente, che colpisce prevalentemente le giovani donne nei primi mesi di gravidanza (cloasma gravidico) ma pu\u00f2 presentarsi anche in assenza di gravidanza e nel sesso maschile. E\u2019 caratterizzato dalla comparsa di macchie iperpigmentate pi\u00f9 o meno estese, variando da pochi millimetri a diversi centimetri. La macchie interessano specialmente fronte, guance, naso, labbra, zona retroauricolare, mento, nuca e collo.<\/p><p>Il loro colorito \u00e8 variabile, dal marroncino chiaro al bruno-nerastro: in estate sotto lo stimolo dei raggi UV solari la pigmentazione si fa pi\u00f9 intensa rispetto alla stagione invernale, dove tuttavia assume maggiore risalto rispetto alla cute normale circostante.<\/p><p>Il melasma non \u00e8 associato ad alcun problema di salute e pu\u00f2 sparire spontaneamente, soprattutto quando viene meno il fattore scatenante (ormonale, immunitario). Alcune donne, tuttavia, mostrano i sintomi del cloasma per anni, o addirittura per tutta la vita; non essendo legato a problematiche di salute e non essendo contagioso la decisione di trattarlo \u00e8 dettata dalla volont\u00e0 di ridurre il disagio sociale derivante dalla sua presenza.
